I won my round last night at the Funniest Person in the Twin Cities contest! Everyone else was a no-show.
Still a victory though. I know because I got a prize — a DVD of the film “Punching the Clown” which I look forward to watching.
If I earned enough points from the judges during my set, I’ll move on to the finals at the end of the month, but I wouldn’t count on it. There are numerous talented comics in this town with a lot more stage time.
I’m optimistic this will just lead to me getting out more, ever, for open mics and creating more comedy. This is something I’ve always wanted to do.
