Twin Cities Zinefest
I coordinated three years of the Twin Cities Zinefest from 2008-2010.
Zinefest celebrates DIY culture and creatives. During my tenure I built relationships with publishers and the local bookmaking community, developed programming, ran PR, communicated with exhibitors, curated art shows and coordinated logistics. I transformed Zinefest into a sell-out show and buzz-worthy event for the Twin Cities creative community.

Minneapolis Indie Xpo
In 2010, I co-founded the Minneapolis Indie Xpo, a festival for independent comic books. I directed this show for its two-year existence and continue to offer advice and support for organizers of future comics-related events in Minneapolis.
MIX has engaged the local comics community but also attracted many outside exhibitors. In 2011, roughly 1/3 of our 200+ exhibitors were non-local and we drew a crowd of 2,200 attendees over two days. My responsibilities did include updating the website and Facebook pages, communicating with exhibitors, vendors and the press, creating and overseeing the budget, building and maintaining community partnerships and sponsorships, coordinating design projects, developing programming and overseeing logistics.
