The Gestetner Duplicator Collection, The Netherlands

Categories:  news, stencil duplicating

A group in The Netherlands is collecting Gestetner brand duplicators, fixing them up, and apparently educating the public on duplicator mechanics and use.  The group has posted photographs of their wonderful collection, and other related duplicator images, on flickr. Go here to see something inspiring: LINK!

    Hello there,

so good to read from you and to also view the duplicator of the gestetner brand.

I am however looking for models 300,400 ,460 and their consumable parts.

Please advise on where i can find what am looking for, as i am a technician in my country and need them to continue service.

    Thanks so much.

Read from you so soon. jlugayizi@yahoo.com

    Hi Mr.,

I do not know where parts or machines can be bought. Sometimes one company will buy up dead stock and try to move it, but other times it goes in the trash, honestly.

I would search sites like ebay — maybe set up a google alert so that if one is listed anywhere on the web you’ll receive an email notice.

If Gestetner is still around, or if they transitioned into a new company, you could contact their current management and see if they have a record of what happened to old parts and equipment. Maybe they still have it for sale!

    Best of luck,
    Sarah M.
